This three-day instructor-ledcourse provides students with the knowledge and skills to quickly make a SharePoint site your SharePoint Site. While focused on SharePoint Designer, this class covers the SharePoint customization, in particular, customization that can be done without custom code or SharePoint server access. This includes browser based customization, SharePoint Designer customization, InfoPath form customization and the Data View and Content Editor web parts. Topics include how to customize navigation, themes, and master pages and how to get a start on branding. Also covered are how do customize the display of lists and libraries and how to connect data external to your site. Note: This class does not cover workflows.

This course is intended for Site Owners and administrators who need to know how to use SharePoint Designer 2010 to customize SharePoint 2010 and SharePoint Online / Office 365 sites. This class is also for the graphics designer who needs to know the right ways to change SharePoint without breaking SharePoint. And, this class is for developers who don’t want to “reinvent the wheel” and need to know when SharePoint Designer should be used and when Visual Studio should be used. This class is an excellent prerequisite for formal branding classes.
